The Thin Blue Line
The Thin Blue Line was created in 2017. It all started when founder Zayne was in a film emphysis program. During one of the classes the students were learning script writing. They had to wright a short script and the class would choose one of the scripts and create it fro a school project. Zayne's was not used. He decided to pass it on to his partner Fred Wheeler III, and asked him if he was able to turn it into a TV script. This is where "The Thin Blue Line was born."

In 2018 after many revisions of the script, storyline, and characters ZRS Productions began the first rendition of the story. We went into production on Mother's Day 2018 and wrapped up on Father's Day 2018. "What a way to start.
We had some serious momentum, and had the chance to go on ABC 6, and FOX 28 and show what we had been working on. This show was originally based out of Columbus, Ohio. We wanted to keep the TV show as organic as possible. Made in a city, with local filmmakers, produced by local filmmakers, and using mostly actors that were local to Ohio.

Moving forward, there had been many different partnerships, that didn't work out, people didn't see eye to eye, and some relationships were tarnished for various reasons. Unfortunately, some of the footage was lost and damaged and kind of put ZRS back at page one.

Moving into 2019, with characters added and more revision, ZRS moved into pre-productions for the second rendition of "TBL". We went back into casting and were getting ready to film again, and Covid -19 came. It really set us back. we had great things moving forward after the ABC interview, a magazine interview and spotlight, as well as many other interviews. Towards the end of 2020, with "Covid Protocol" in place we were able to move forward and get the second rendition done.

Flash forward to 2023. With Covid-19 changing the world in many ways, especially the world of entertainment, we had to adjust. We had lost some of the momentum but still hand many people supporting what we were trying to accomplish, so we pushed on, with adjustments. We had met with some people that told us, " Because of everything going on in the world and the financial situation with most production companies and what they were looking to invest in that maybe doing something episodic wasn't the best route to take at this moment in time. Possibly making a screen play would be a better route.

We put the TV series on the back burner and made the adjustment to a screen play. We didn't change anything; we decide to make an origin story out of TBL and make the movie about how the team came together. We used current events like Covid, and BLM, and all the riots that were going on to make this happen. After a few pitched to some pretty decent size companies like, "Bonfire Legend", and "Rockhill Productions" We decided to try and do it on our own.

That brings us too today. After a Movie Premiere to show what we had don't, as well as a 90-day Indie-Gogo run. We didn't know where to turn to next. We have many things in the works and are projected to make this film on our own in late 2024, or early 2025.
